、學院介紹

　　南京大學是一所曆史悠久
、聲譽卓著的百年名校。南京大學法學院的前身是民國時期國立中央大學法學院。1952年全國大學院係調整，法學院被合並到其他高校;1981年南京大學恢複法律係並招生。1994年由法律係變更為法學院。

　　法學院現設有一個法學本科專業，九個碩士專業：法學理論、法律史、憲法學與行政法學
、刑法學、民商法學、訴訟法學、經濟法學

、環境與資源保護法學、國際法學。其中，經濟法學是國家重點培育學科和江蘇省重點學科，法學學科為江蘇省一級學科重點學科。設有法學博士後流動站。

　　法學院設有中德法學研究所、中國法律案例研究中心、私法研究所、法典評注研究中心、犯罪預防與控製研究所

　　法學院非常重視學術研究事業，編輯出版的《南大法學》(前身為《南京大學法律評論》)、《中德法學論壇》(原《中德經濟法研究所年刊》)和《判例評論》
，在學術界產生了較大影響。自1981年以來
，已出版專著、教材三百餘部，在國內外主要刊物上發表論文數千篇
，成果多次獲得國家和省部級獎勵。

　　Tenure-track Positions Available in Law School of Nanjing University, China

　　I. About the School

　　Nanjing University is a century-old school with a long history and high reputation. The predecessor of the Law School of Nanjing University was the Law School of National Central University during the period of the Republic of China. In 1952, as part of a nationwide adjustment of university faculties and departments, the Law School was merged with other universities. In 1981, Nanjing University resumed its Department of Law and started enrollment. In 1994, the department was changed to the School of Law.

　　Law School of Nanjing University has one undergraduate major. It also has nine master majors including legal theories, legal history, constitution and administrative law, criminal law, civil and commercial law, litigation law, economic law, environment and environmental protection law, and international law. It is one of the first extraordinary legal personnel education bases and a national first-class undergraduate major construction institute,which ranks in the first class, both domestically and abroad, in the assessment by the Ministry of Education and in international rankings. It has an excellent academic reputation at home and abroad.

　　Law School of Nanjing University establishes 11 research institutes, including the Sino-GermanInstitute of Economic Law, the Institute of Economic Law, the Institute of Crime Prevention and Control, the Institute of Private Law, the Research Center for Codex Commentary, the Research Center for Chinese Legal Cases, the Research Center for Housing Policy and Real Estate Law, the Zijin Research Center of Intellectual Property Rights, the Research Center of Commercial Law, etc. Nanjing University Law Journal(formerly Nanjing University Law Review), Sino-German Legal Forum(formerly the Annual Journal of Sino-German Institute of Economic Law), and Case Review, all of them are edited and published by the Law School, have made a great influence to the academia. Since 1981, the Law School has published over three hundred monographs and textbooks and thousands of theses in major journals at home and abroad. These results have received numerous national and provincial rewards.

　　II. Description of Openings

　　The Law School of Nanjing University warmly invites talented individuals interested in pursuing research in various fields of law to join our faculty. We are currently seeking to recruit up to six tenure-track positions at assistant professor and associate professor level from around the world. Specific fields of research open for recruitment are:

　　(1) Civil law

　　(2) Constitutional law and administrative law

　　(3) Procedural law

　　(4)International law

　　(5) Economic law

　　(6) Criminal law

　　III. Conditions for Application

　　The applicant should

　　(1)Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;

　　(2)Abide by the ethics of teachers, uphold academic integrity, be willing to work diligently, and have no criminal record or record in breaching the ethics of teachers and/or academic integrity;

　　(3)Have adoctoral degree in a relevant discipline, with experience studying and working at top-tier academic and research institutions, and familiarity with the latest international research developments in the field.For the position of Associate Professor, it is required to have engaged in academic research for 2 years or more after obtaining a doctoral degree;

　　(4)Have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the corresponding discipline, and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;

　　(5)Demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development.

　　V. Compensation Package and Support

　　A successful applicant will be provided with:

　　(1)An annual salary (the details shall be communicated separately);

　　(2) Qualification to supervise graduate students;
