the zhejiang university-university of illinois at urbana-champaign institute (the zju-uiuc institute) invites qualified candidates for postdoctoral research positions in areas of engineering and science that match its multidisciplinary mission.

the zju-uiuc institute is an engineering college on the zhejiang university (zju) international campus, haining, china, about 120 km southwest of shanghai. the zju-uiuc institute conducts teaching and research in broad program themes of engineering sciences for human health, engineering sciences for flexible manufacturing, and engineering sciences at the nexus of energy, environment, and sustainable develop. undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. classes and student activities are conducted in english. the institute has interests that address but are not limited to interdisciplinary topics exemplified by structural engineering, environmental and civil engineering, robotics, aerodynamics, data science, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, advanced communication, digital manufacturing, systems and networking, transportation electrification, micro-nano-electronics and photonics, terahertz circuits and systems, intelligent power and infrastructure, biotechnology and atomic-scale materials.

applicants for postdoctoral positions are expected to have a phd degree in a relevant engineering field. candidates should demonstrate excellent academic performance and strong potential for research development. successful applicants will conduct collaborative research under the supervision of faculty members from both the institute and from uiuc. it is expected that successful applicants will work for one year at the institute in china and one year on the uiuc campus.
